Paving contractors know that sealants can help the look of your parking lot and provide an excellent customer experience as they significantly extend the lifespan of your asphalt. We recommend sealants every two to four years for the best results.

2. Clean It Often

Regular cleanings to remove leaves and debris not only keep the parking lot looking better, but they can also prevent water from pooling. With regular cleaning, you also get oil and other irritants that can come from the vehicles parked there off the surface. It can help prevent stains and maintain the integrity of your parking lot.

3. Don't Forget the Salt

Salting your parking lots in the winter, or putting down sand, can help keep the ice and snow from damaging both your clients' car tires and your lot. Sand and salt can help keep ice from forming and give your asphalt less structural damage each winter season. It can also keep your parking lot clients from slipping and falling from the ice buildup which can protect you from lawsuits. We recommend salting or sanding regularly throughout the winter if you live in a very cold climate, and before any freezing temperatures if you live in the South. Staying weather-wise goes a long way to protect your asphalt lot as well as your entire business.
